Booking and timing
How far ahead should we book? Give us two to three weeks on a typical local move if you can. August is the tightest month in Austin because student leases and new job start dates both land around then, so book earlier if your date falls in that window.
Can you fit us in on short notice? Sometimes, especially on a weekday. Crews open up more often than people expect, and we would rather tell you honestly whether we can fit you in than leave you guessing.
What we move and how
Will you move an apartment the same way as a house? Close to it. Apartments make up a large share of our work, and we plan around elevator reservations, loading zone rules, and stair carries so nothing surprises the crew on the day.
Can you move just one item, like a couch or a dresser? Yes. We regularly move a single piece across town or help load a rental container, and we send the right number of people for a small job rather than a full crew.
Pricing and paperwork
How is a local move priced? By the hour, based on crew size and truck size matched to what you own. How is a long-distance move priced? By the weight of the load and the miles driven, with the truck weighed on a certified scale so the number is tied to something real.
Do we get anything in writing? Every job comes with a written estimate before your date is confirmed, and long-distance jobs also get a copy of the weight ticket.
Weather and access
What happens if it is extremely hot on move day? We start earlier, keep the truck doors shut between loads, and keep heat sensitive items such as electronics and candles for last on and first off.
What if our building requires an elevator reservation or insurance certificate? Tell us the requirements as soon as you have them and we will have the paperwork ready before the crew arrives.
