What we need to hear from you
Tell us the pickup and drop-off neighborhoods, the size of the home or office, your ideal date, and anything unusual such as a piano, a hot tub, or a third floor walk-up with no elevator.
If you already know whether you want packing help, say so when you first reach out. If you are still deciding, describe the rooms that worry you most and we will walk through what full versus partial packing would look like for your house.
How the estimate gets built
For local moves we estimate crew size and hours from your inventory and the access at both ends. For long-distance moves the figure is based on estimated weight and mileage, confirmed later on a certified scale.
Larger homes and any commercial job get a walk-through, either in person or on a video call. Smaller apartments can usually be priced from a short written list of what is in each room, without needing anyone to visit in person.
When to reach out
For a move at the end of the month or during the busy summer stretch, reach out three to four weeks ahead. Mid month dates in spring or fall can often be booked with just a week's notice.
If another company fell through and you are in a bind, reach out anyway. Crews open up more often than people expect, and we would rather give you a straight answer than leave you guessing.
What happens after you book
Once your date is confirmed you receive a written estimate with the crew size, arrival window, and a short checklist for the days before the move. A day or two out, we reach out to confirm the details and answer any last minute questions.
On the morning of the move, whoever is leading the crew lets you know the truck is on the way, so you are not left standing at the window guessing when it will show up.
Questions people ask before booking
People often ask whether we move items into a storage unit, whether a crew can help load just a container, or whether we can pick up a single piece of furniture from a store or an estate sale. All three are jobs we take on regularly.
We also get asked about elevator bookings, insurance paperwork for apartment buildings, and what happens if rain shows up on the day. We have a plan for each and are glad to walk through it before you commit to a date.
